We had a great couple of days providing a 2 day Outdoor First Aid course at CairnGorm Mountain last week, it always helps when the weather is stunning! Some really positive comments about our purely practical based course, not a power point in sight! This means that our instructors have to have a great knowledge of what they are teaching, being able to draw on a huge bank of real situations that we have dealt from Ski Patrolling, in Mountain Rescue and our event medical cover. This method of delivering our courses requires a lower ratio of students to instructors, typically 6:1, so the students get even more from the 2 days.
